Roast

I cooked a roast for the first time today. Put it, some carrots, new potatoes, onions, cloves of garlic, a seasoning packet in the crockpot this morning and came home to a house that made me remember Sundays. My Mom always put a roast in the crockpot for Sunday afternoon lunch. It was always really good! Mine was pretty darn good too. Cooked some green beans, corn, and rolls along with it and had a nice bottle of pinot grigio(yes for you wine snobs I know I should have had a red with roast, but I drink what I like). I am kinda proud of myself. Every now and then I feel like a "grown-up". I know I am almost 29, but I still don't feel it. Oh well, gonna go watch Ghostbusters on VH1(something else that makes me think of home and being a kid).

Whoo Hooooo!! Any leftovers? Good for you, cooking a roast....they can be intimidating if you've never cooked one but most everything tastes good when cooked in a crock pot.

Good for you!!! You can do it! You were a little whirling dervish in the kitchen, sisterfriend. Sounds very good and makes me wanna go out and buy a roast. And potatoes and carrots and corn, etc. Good old fashioned stick to the ribs comfort food. YUMM-O.

I haven't watched that movie in years, sounds like you had a fun day

I've just recently made it to the 29 mark and every once in awhile I do something so "grown-up" but other times I look back and think where did the time go I'm not that old yet am I!?
